how have i lived for so long without this stained glass, sun catching treasure???

african textiles

over the last few months, i’ve noticed the use of bright, graphic african prints as the textile trend du jour in the home accessory world (i have been obsessed with the idea of finding some large floor pillows in this vein, after coveting the ones in my friend’s adorable santa monica abode).  and as these sort of trends are wont to do, the influence is evident in ever expanding categories - and i am now TOTALLY lusting over this gorgeous dress, the drool-worthy result of a collaboration between swedish label, acne, and artist daniel silver.  i LOVE the styled look of the dress worn belted and in combination with leather jacket, giving a little casual but tough edge to the sweet silhouette.

i have a pillow problem.

my love of beautifully manipulated textiles, bold patterns, saturated color, and nuanced texture manifests itself in a MAJOR throw pillow addiction.  but look at two new resources i have recently come across - leah singh and scandi living - can you blame me?!

gorgeous graphic sunset colors!

like a mid century stained glass window!

rainbow stitched zig zag!

crisp color and TASSELS!

saturated stripes galore!

lovely linen and flaxflower!

boxes

wall mounted boxes as shelves with contrast color interiors - i quite like.

speaking of spectator penny loafers…

i have kind of been obsessing over THESE lately as the perfect spring transitional shoe choice.

which then has led me to spend a lot of time obsessing over the entire second installment of the rachel antonoff collab with bass.  i actually don’t even know that much about rachel as a designer, aside from her association with the bass brand.  but i kind of want her to be my new best friend so we can ride our basket-ed bikes together to some super groovy brooklyn joint, where we would flirt with the cute, bearded, moscot-bespectacled waiter (who would play the ukelele in a local “indy” band in his non-waiter time) and trade notes about the best vintage shopping (LA or portland??), over a bountiful brunch of locally cured, artisanal bacon, gluten-free french toast with organic, sustainably harvested maple syrup, and freshly ground, fair trade, french pressed coffee (with almond milk, duh).  of course, all of this done while wearing a pair of one of the below cuties.

NEED THIS.

love this home

i want everything in it, huskies included.

(the expression of the cutie in the front is making me laugh, he is giving the camera same “coy” camera look that is the signature of my parents’ dog, jimmy.  dog photos are the best.)
